We Are The Juggernaut [MV] -Coheed and Cambria

Keep your secrets in the dark
Nothing matters anymore
Bodies breaking, drive me crazy
This is not your place
No, this is not your playground it's my heart
We were stupid, we got caught
Nothing matters anymore
So what? Here we are Juggernaut

Courage broken lash the scars
Can this love be what I want?
Bodies breaking, driving me crazy
It's your fault!

We were stupid we got caught
Nothing matters anymore
So what, here we are Juggernaut

Juggernaut

So let's hang us a hangman,
We'll bury our burdens in blood
So hang up some anger
We'll bury our burdens in blood
Become stronger Juggernaut

Answer me
"Did we take this too far?"
You've given all I could need
"Did we take this too far?"
Oh but your kiss won't leave me
"Did we take this too far?"
Cause your teardrops won't stop, chewing out my heart!

We were stupid we got caught
Nothing matters anymore
So what? Here we are Juggernaut!
Here we are Juggernaut!
We are Juggernaut!

Why, why, why?

Inluences
Sanchez has several times stated he is envious of his father's era of music, and that the band is influenced by groups of that era, such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Police, Misfits, Queen, and Thin Lizzy. Apart from these roots in classic rock, Sanchez also acknowledges an eclectic array of influences, including post-hardcore group At the Drive-In, and heavy metal pioneers Iron Maiden. Contrary to rumors, bassist Michael Todd said the band was not influenced by Saga and that he had never heard of that group. Many draw similarities between Rush and Coheed and Cambria, but Josh Eppard stated in an interview that neither he nor the other band members were Rush fans or influenced by Rush. They began listening to Rush after their second album.Influences of punk rock have been cited as well, especially the Misfits and Bad Brains. Dr. Know of Bad Brains plays a guitar solo on the track "Time Consumer" from Second Stage Turbine Blade. Sanchez and Stever's early band Toxic Parents drew many similarities from Jane's Addiction and Misfits.Sanchez has stated that The Amory Wars, the story on which Coheed and Cambria base its lyrics, has similarities to other stories, especially to the Star Wars trilogy. For example, when the character Coheed returns home to his wife Cambria, she says, "Somehow I’ve always known," a line that
Coheed and Cambria is an American rock band from Nyack, New York, who formed in 2001. The band incorporates aspects of progressive rock, punk rock, heavy metal and post-hardcore.
Coheed and Cambria's albums are concept albums that reveal a science fiction storyline called The Amory Wars, a series of story media written by lead singer Claudio Sanchez. The band has released five studio albums, two live albums, and several special-edition releases. In 2008, the band held a four-day concert series, Neverender, during which they played their first four studio albums in succession. Their fifth studio album, Year of the Black Rainbow, which is a prequel to the series, was released on April 13, 2010.

NU 107 In The Raw-Closing down could be closing the Dreams.

In The Raw:Hosted by  Francis Brew Every Sunday 6-8 PM

Closing Down of Nu 107- means closing down the "Dreams" for the "Next Generation" rock musicians???
May be "Yes", may be "Not".. Through the years In the Raw by Nu 107 has take a big part on discovering unsigned/amateur bands and make it to the big league by adding them to their play list. For some of you who don't  know some of our greatest  band started here.Anchored by the Maestro Francis "Brew" Reyes, the musicians will drop by the station and submit their demos.Francis will listen to the demos and analyze. Then later give his insights about your music. If the maestro finds it music interesting and thinks that you can make it to the scene,then... that's it ..!! "Its Your Time To Shine"

But next generation amateur band will no longer have this platform. Its sad because it inspires a lot of young kids to form a group, and hope that someday their song will be heard.

Message In A Bottle by Matisyahu with lyrics(MV)

Just a castaway
An island lost at sea
Another lonely day
With no one here but me
More loneliness
Than any man could bear
Rescue me before I fall into despair

I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle

A year has passed since I wrote my note
But I should have known this right from the start
Only hope can keep me together
Love can mend your life
But love can break your heart

I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle

Walked out this morning
Don't believe what I saw
A hundred billion bottles
Washed up on the shore
Seems I'm not alone at being alone
A hundred billion castaways
Looking for a home

I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle

One day by Matisyahu (MV)with Lyrics

sometimes I lay
under the moon
and thank God I'm breathing
then I pray
don't take me soon
cause I am here for a reason
sometimes in my tears I drown
but I never let it get me down
so when negativity surrounds
I know some day it'll all turn around
because
all my life I've been waiting for
I've been praying for
for the people to say
that we don't wanna fight no more
they'll be no more wars
and our children will play
one day x6
it's not about
win or lose
we all lose
when they feed on the souls of the innocent
blood drenched pavement
keep on moving though the waters stay raging
in this maze you can lose your way (your way)
it might drive you crazy but don't let it faze you no way (no way)
sometimes in my tears I drown
but I never let it get me down
so when negativity surrounds
I know some day it'll all turn around
because
all my life I've been waiting for
I've been praying for
for the people to say
that we don't wanna fight no more
they'll be no more wars
and our children will play
one day x6
one day this all will change
treat people the same
stop with the violence
down with the hate
one day we'll all be free
and proud to be
under the same sun
singing songs of freedom like
one day x4
all my life I've been waiting for
I've been praying for
for the people to say
that we don't wanna fight no more
they'll be no more wars
and our children will play
one day x6

NU 107 The Home of NU ROCK.. IS SIGNING OFF..!!!???(News)

According to this blog from  adventuresofabeautyqueen.com:
Good morning guys! This is jaeDee the NewsGoose with some shocking news for rock fans in Metro Manila…
The one and only rock station in town – NU107, The Home of NU Rock – will soon be the Home of NO ROCK!
That’s right, I’ve received information from three reliable sources, all part of NU107′s inner circle, that the radio station will finally say goodbye to it’s rock image and shift to a ‘masa’ pop sound under new management.
The reason for the image change was reportedly a financial decision on the owners’ part.
The transformation won’t be overnight though.
According to one of my sources, starting this November the NU107 jocks will start slipping in music that will assail the senses any decent rocker.
By January 2011, my source claims, the transformation will be complete and so will be the demise of NU107 The Home of New Rock.
So I guess this is going to be the News Goose’s last report.
I’m not too sad though… it’ll take more than just the closure of one rock station to stop Manila’s rock community from moving on!
Long live the Rock and Roll lifestyle!!!
This is jaeDee the News Goose, for one last time…
…signing off
But of course its only a humor not final unless they announce it... Lets wait may be on the Rock Awards we'll hear from them..  May be same issue occur on LA Rock During 90's.

Matthew Paul Miller (born June 30, 1979), better known by his Hebrew name Matisyahu (Hebrew:מתתיהו) is an American Hasidic Jewish reggae musician.Known for blending traditional Jewish themes with Reggae, rock and hip hop beat-boxing sounds, Matisyahu's single "King Without a Crown" was a Top 40 hit.Since 2004, he has released three studio albums as well as two live albums, two remix CDs and one DVD featuring a live concert. Through his career, Matisyahu has worked with Bill Laswell and reggae producers Sly & Robbie.

Matisyahu fuses the contemporary styles of rap, beatboxing, and hip-hop in general, with the more traditional vocal disciplines of jazz's scat singing and Judaism's hazzan style of songful prayer—more often than not rolling it all into a dominant background of reggae music. The New York Times' Kelefa Sanneh wrote that "His sound owes a lot to early dancehall reggae stars like Barrington Levy and Eek-a-Mouse." The Chicago Tribune's Kevin Pang described a Matisyahu performance as "soul-shaking brand of dancehall reggae, a show that captures both the jam band vibe of Phish and the ska-punk of Sublime." Matisyahu's style has been compared to JewDa Maccabi, an Orthodox Jew from Florida who includes religious lyrics within a musical style derived from hip-hop. Coming from his Jewish beliefs and compounding his use of the hazzan style, Matisyahu's lyrics are mostly English with more than occasional use of Hebrew and Yiddish.
In 2006, Matisyahu stated that "All of my songs are influenced and inspired by the teachings that inspire me. I want my music to have meaning, to be able to touch people and make them think. Chasidism teaches that music is 'the quill of the soul.' Music taps into a very deep place and speaks to us in a way that regular words can't."
In 2009, he said about his recently released album Light, "I think the vast majority of people that respect what I do are willing to move with me. I think it's not so much about genres or styles of music as it is about expressing the emotion or the idea. ... Whatever allows you to do that, whatever style, as long as it's authentic."He also in 2010 confirmed his first speaking date at the university of central florida.

Collaboration

Matisyahu has performed with Kenny Muhammad, a Muslim beatboxer. He also recorded the song "One Day" along with Akon
