Biography
Lutong Pinoy, lasang Pinoy – that’s SKABECHE – known as - Ang PambanSKAng Banda ng Bayan!
SKABECHE (from the sweet & sour fish dish escabeche) is a 10-member gang of musicians who has been skankin’ the music scene for over 10 years now,
Proudly Bulakenyos!
Skabeche is a one of a kind band in the Philippines.
Their music, a mix of Ska, Punk, Blues, Jazz, Classical & Reggae is reinforced with a variety of musical instruments they play to add depth to their sound- 3 kinds of saxophones, a trombone, trumpet, and big percussions set-up spice up the sounds of guitars, bass, drums. And not to mention, who will not fall in love with the bands signature quirky-skankin dance move, powerful performance and distinct vocals! Yes indeed flavorful!
Skabeches’ many proud accomplishments includes ISLAND RIDDIMS & ISLAND CHIRSTMAS – Compilation Albums (with their hit songs “LAMOK” and PART OF ME), Jingle for Tambayan 101.9 FM, 91.5 Energy FM (Hi Pangga!), Ka-Toque Lutong Barkada QTV11 & ABS-CBNs’ DZMM Official Station ID theme song “ANG BAYAN NAMAN” for 2010 Election.
In fact, their voice has been loud enough to earn them also a spot in many International CD Compilations of Ska and Reggae Music released worldwide.
CURRENTLY, SKABECHE IS PROMOTING THEIR FIRST FULL LENGTH, with the latest single “LAMOK” (that received good reviews from music industry critics) and their Special Single for 2010 --- "KAY SARAP" (that earned spots on different radio countdowns).

Biography
Sinag's sound is often described as "kalye" or "street". With themes of social relevance in their songs, people of all walks easily relate to them. God's Will's simple yet direct to the point hooks accompanied by the rhythm section's steady yet groovy bounce can easily get stuck in your head. Their on-stage performances are as visually stimulating as God's Will's lyrics are, encouraging who ever's watching to get up themselves and bounce with them.
2006. Formed and founded by CHT and God's Will during a chance meeting at a weekly gig held by The Community.
After watching God's Will perform, CHT approached him, they talked , exchanged ideas, shared their views and soon they found themselves on the same page. To form a band that played organic hip hop (as opposed to just being all alone up on-stage, performing with a cd player) that could capture the vibe and feel of what God's -Will's tales are all about...Life. Life in the Philippines and the ride that is basically being a Filipino specifically.
2ts hooked up with the group late 2006 after their original bass player left to pursue other priorities. 2ts, bassist also for the band Queso (friends with both Jc and CHT for quite some time now) did not hesitate to join as he has already heard a few songs by God's Will and was impressed by his honest-no-bullshit (not to mention all in Tagalog) delivery of what he has seen and what he has been through personally. Plus 2ts has always wanted to be in a band that was fronted by an emcee, so the events that landed him the gig were actually quite serendipitous.
CHT and Jc have been friends for the longest time and have called each other "band mates" numerous times before. They knew each others musical skills, taste, app roach and general attitude in playing music or being in a band. So the call to Jc to take on guitar duties for Sinag was really only logical for CHT.
Turbulence Productions' and rap producer B-Roc helped God's Will book performances around Metro Manila and It was these stints that allowed him to attract the attention of other, more popular hip hop artists such as Ill J of SVC, Nathan J of 7 Shots and Gloc 9. Landing his song “Ika-6 na Misteryo” to be included in “B-Sides”, a compilation featuring various renowned Filipino hip hop artists.
B-Roc, again was a logical move to fill in the position of Dj for Sinag.
2007. Although the group is relatively young and has just only recently barely even broken through onto the local music scene. They have earned much respect and support from both the rock community and the hip hop community. Bridging the gap between the two genres.
Another recruit from the Queso camp, Bboy Garcia, just recently took over duties as DJ for Sinag from BRoc.
Currently, the boys are busy playing gigs, writing new materials and recording them as demos. The four tracks listed above are demos and all the instruments were recorded live at Wombworks Studios. Plans to record more songs are being plotte
