Congratulation to Light of Luna for winning the 2010 Pambansang Muziklaban, held at Roxas blvd. Last Saturday jan 22, 2011. The biggest and the grandest Musiklaban ever made so far. This year’s Redhorse Musiklaban made a difference by giving tribute to the Philippine’s King of Rap, the Master rapper Francis Magalona. The event is hosted by Benjie (vocalist of the band Chongkies), Rico Robles (Rx 93.1 Dj), King Dj Logan (99.5 RT Fm Dj) and Rizza Diaz (Sportscaster and events host).The said event is really different with a lot of surprise and special guest; Like Manny Paquiao, Arnel Pineda, Jerico Rosales, Moymoy palaboy, eat bulaga host’s Wally, Jose and Julia, Elmo Magalona, and Previous Musiklaban grand champions, Mayonnaise, Ibarra, Even, Hatankaru of course some special guest like the crowd favorite slapshock, grayhoundz, pupil, juan dela cruz band and many more. The gates open as early as 8 am for other competition such as Extreme sport, Tattoo, and Film. They also held the early audition for next years’ battle of the band. It’s a free entrance so expect the flood of fans; though the venue is bigger still some wasn’t able to come in due to some issues. Guards and the bouncers were joined by uniformed police men to secure the event. Judges are Reg Rubio (Greyhoundz Frontman), Audi Avenido (Greyhoundz Guitarist),Ian Tayao (Wilabaliw and Queso’s Frontman),Brian Velasco (Razorback’s Drummer), R A Rivera(Former Dj of Nu 107 and band member of the Band Ozawa)and Mally Paraguya (P.O.T.’s Bassist). It’s a great event, no matter what genre of music you’re in to; hip-hop, metal, punk, alternative, reggae, pop, etc. it’s all there, we all witness lots of artist collaboration. Over all, Redhorse Ang Pambansang Muziklaban 2011 turns out successful. Congratulation again to all the winners and the organizers more power.
